Mita Ristic was born in village Lopardince near Bujanovac, lives and works in Vranje since 1960. Engineer of organizational work and worker in the company Simpo since 1973, where he is still working as chief of transport. From 1962 till 1982 he was a member in the amateur theatre "Bora Stankovic" in Vranje where he managed the ensemble "Sevdah". The theatre awarded him with Plate for contribution in growth of amateur working in Vranje.
He has shown his talent even in his primary education, and since 1979 he starts with active painting. since 1986 he starts with group exhibitions. up to date he has participated in 15 group exhibitions within the borders of Ex Yugoslavia. he is a memeber of the Association of painters - Vranje since its beginnings.
